Marcia Jones, FNP

is a board certified, family nurse practitioner, graduating with honors from WVU in 2008. Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Marcia worked as an RN for 10 years in the Emergency Departments of Hampshire Memorial Hospital and Winchester Medical Center. In addition to a history in Emergency Medicine, Marcia specialized in neurology at Neurologic Associates in Winchester, VA.

From the beginning, Marcia wanted to open a practice and provide compassionate care in the community, in which she was born and raised. In 2011, Spring Valley Family Care was opened and that dream became a reality. It has has thrived in the years since. Spring Valley Family Care practices on the belief that patients need to be comfortable with their healthcare provider and play an active role in their own health. Special interests are overall wellness, nutrition and health promotion.

In 2022, Marcia became a certified Functional Medicine provider. Functional Medicine focuses on patient centered care, looking for the root cause of symptoms and working with the patient to find solutions. Functional Medicine goes beyond just labeling, diagnosing and prescribing. Visits are more in depth to understand all aspects of the patient.

In 2024, Pediatric Functional Medicine Certification with the Functional Medicine Academy was added to Marcia’s list of credentials. Our children are the future.
